How to create your own NethServer mirror

Looks like the cronjob is doing ok now… I think we have a new stable mirror…

/edit: I just went through the files that are actualy on the mirror server, and in the ISO directory, there are actuyaly the torrent links, not the ISO’s.
With (currently) 61 ISO’s that would take roughly 45GB of diskspace. Is it intentional that those are torrentlinks and not the ISO’s? (I could handle 45GB of ISO’s on my server, but it would take a lot of my available diskspace.)

Yes, ISOs are hosted on SourceForge!

Then it would be better to put links to the ISO’s on the sourceforge repo instead of links to the torrent files.

@davidep added a new mirror, based on ns7 on aarch64 (i’m not sure i’ve done correctly the PR  )

Ok, got it. Approved!

Please note that aarch64 is (still) not served by mirrors!

yes i know, but i would like to see an ns7-aarch64 in real world use(also if epel end of support make it not so easy and probably not so useful)
tnx!

I have added a mirror at https://repo.nokken.co.uk/nethserver/

If approved, is someone able to add this?

Done!

It should be listed soon by http://mirror-status.nethserver.org/

Thank you very much for approving it and adding it so promptly @davidep!

The server is located in London, UK; however it is fronted by AWS’s global CDN CloudFront which should help speed up the downloading of the files throughout Europe, North and South America, Southern Africa and Asia as well.

Just out of interest, how much data or traffic do the other repositories generate on average?

Saw this topic passing by and tried to check my own mirror. In mirmon it shows as active, but when opening a browser I get a 404… any ideas? I think the virtualhost config is posted up in this thread.

what url please ?, can you use the url of mirmon (watch you have two urls in mirmon)

http://nethserver.interlin.nl/nethserver/
Looks like it’s ok now.

/edit: I had always https on in Firefox. With https on I get a 404 even when I have the subdomain added to LE certificate.

calling @bradjtrammell… need some listing for his mirror.

Thank you. I also sent a message to the original post author.

@bradjtrammell Thank you for donating the new repos.sparkrack.com mirror!

We’re monitoring it for a while before adding it to the mirrors pool.
